Bintan’s Chinatown ‘Chop Chop’ Opens at BLR

Bintan Lagoon Resort’s new Chop Chop Restaurant opens with the colourful sights, sounds and scents of Chinatown.

Opened in November 2016, Chop Chop echoes the Resort’s revitalized branding as a hip, fun and vibrant destination for all ages.  Styled as Bintan’s Chinatown, the outlet serves popular North Asian street food culture in a decor evoking the charm and nuances of Chinatown around the world. From the signage to the lighting and fixtures, every little detail is meticulously executed to bring out the concept of dining on North Asian streets.

A dramatic sense of fun welcomes guests at the restaurant which is located just below the lobby level. From the loud, cheeky and funky graphic walls with oriental motifs to the hanging dim sum baskets and red lanterns surrounding the central column, the atmosphere pulsates with an energy typical of Chinatowns around the world.

To make it as authentic as possible, fixtures are a mix of rustic wooden table tops matched with vividly coloured metallic chairs perched on tiled floors and comfortable cushioned benches set up against wall etchings of quirky shop house features.

Chop Chop offers a menu of well-liked street food, a quintessential part of the Asian experience. Guests can find a mouthwatering variety ranging from steamed and fried dumplings, noodles and rice to tasty stir frys and double boiled soups.

Designed by IWA Design of Singapore, the 260 sq metre Chop Chop accommodates 165 persons.
