Travelling through Singapore Changi Airport

Getting to Tanah Merah terminal from Changi Airport

  1. Taxi from any terminal

    – Less than 15 minutes

  2. Public Transport

    – Take the MRT from Changi Airport MRT to Tanah Merah MRT (2 stops)
    – Board Bus 35 and alight at the last stop at Tanah Merah ferry terminal (total time about 50-60 minutes)
    *Changi Airport MRT is at the basement of Terminal 2 and 3

    Things to note 

    – Bintan, Indonesia is 1 hour behind Singapore
    – For travelers leaving Bintan to catch a flight at Changi Airport, please allow 1.5 – 2 hours window period (depending on mode of transport) to reach Changi Airport from departure in Bintan. The ferry ride from Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal is 55 minutes.

  3. Shuttle Bus Service

    There is a shuttle service providing two-way transfer between Singapore Changi Airport and Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT) with pick up points at Terminal 2 and Terminal 4. Passengers arriving in Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 are encouraged to go to Terminal 2 to board the shuttle service.

    c. Things to note

    • Passengers are advised to wait at the pick-up point at least 10 minutes before scheduled departure time.
    • Tickets are priced at $2 per journey. Fares can be paid with Singapore Dollars or EZ-Link. No change is given and all tickets sold are non-refundable. Children below 1.2m in height do not have to pay.
    • Availability of seats is on a first-come-first-served basis.
    • Total journey from Changi Airport T2 to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal is approximately 20 minutes, while the total journey from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to Changi Airport T3/1/2/4 is approximately 15 to 40 minutes. Timings are subject to change without notice due to traffic conditions.
