Bintan KasmaRUN 2018 brought more than 1,000 participants around the world on 31 December 2018 at Lagoi Bay Bintan. This year’s theme, “The Journey of Love”, featured different running zones representing the respective continents—America, Africa, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Participants were able to enjoy a love-filled 5km adventure on the route.
The event kicked off with the race pack collection at 10 am. The race pack presents a T-shirt featuring the race categories of #LoveMyself, #LoveYou, or #LoveFamily, a neon waterproof pouch, and a passport of love, named Passlove. The Tourism Ministry of Indonesia, Tourism Board together with PT. BRC Management flagged off the race at 4 pm after participants warmed up with a quick round of Zumba.
After the race, the well-colored runners were presented with an exclusive KasmaRUN finisher medal and treated to a DJ performance, LED and modern dance performances, games, and a bazaar. With 2019 just around the corner, the New Year countdown was celebrated with fireworks and concluded KasmaRUN 2018 with a stellar explosion of colors.
