Bintan, 9th April 2025 – The much-anticipated Indofood Bintan Triathlon returns for its 21st edition on 4th to 5th October 2025, aiming to welcome 1,000 triathletes to the scenic Island of Bintan, Riau Islands Province. The event will once again be hosted on the pristine Bintan Beach International Resorts, the island’s premier tourism hub.
A pre-event press conference held today at Bintan Resorts, where event organizers—Bintan Resorts and Orange Room, through its TriFactor Asia brand—are joined by representatives from title sponsor Indofood, government officials from Bintan Regency and the Riau Islands Province, members of the Bintan Resorts Council, and various community groups including the Singapore Women’s Triathlon and Run Singapore Magazine, to officially launch the 2025 edition of the event.
“As we celebrate the 21st edition of the Indofood Bintan Triathlon, our goal is to transform the event into a family-oriented experience, fostering bonds through sports and encouraging greater participation, particularly from Indonesia. This vision is reflected in the dedicated youth and kids’ categories,” said Prakash Nair, General Manager of Operations Bintan Resorts. He further emphasized that Bintan Resorts places the utmost importance on the safety and security of all participants, supporters, and visitors, ensuring a well-organized and secure environment. This commitment aligns with the resort’s vision of establishing Bintan as a premier sports tourism hub.
“A new highlight this year is the introduction of two new categories at the Indofood Bintan Triathlon—Standard and Sprint Duathlon—which will further enhance participants’ experience and create more opportunities for them to be part of the excitement,” said Managing Director of Orange Room, Elvin Ting. “We aim to make this event more inclusive without compromising the high standards that have established Bintan Triathlon as a premier sporting event on the island.” “The competition segment will kick off on October 4 (Day 1) with the Olympic and Sprint Triathlon categories, as well as the Standard and Sprint Duathlon, followed by kids’ races on October 5 (Day 2), setting the stage for an action-packed and adrenaline-filled weekend in the first week of October.” He further said.
